Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned reader, keeping a journal of your tarot (or oracle!) pulls is beneficial for tuning into your intuition and honing your skills. It can be daily, weekly, or fortnightly– the frequency doesn’t matter as much as the consistency.
We make our magick every time we show up.
That being said, this little Notion template is designed with beginners in mind, regarding both tarot and Notion. You won’t have to worry about astrological correspondences or even reversals, nor do you need to know how to make complex databases. The goal is to give you enough of a framework to get started and keep going.
What you’re here for! For your convenience, I’ve made a few simple templates to make collecting all your thoughts and pulls much easier. There are three journal templates: “Single Card Spread, “3 Card Spread,” and “Celtic Cross.” Each have their own set of prompts to get you started on the journaling process. You don’t have to use them either, you can always use the blank page.

One of the keys to a committed practice of any sort is knowing your “why.”
So, what is it about tarot that draws you in?
What do you like about it?
What is your history with it?
What do you already know?
What do you want to know more about?

⬆ replace me with whatever you want!
Even if you’re a beginner, there’s no reason you can’t have a favorite card! You can pick one that instills hope, generates motivation, soothes your soul, captivates your eye, or reminds you of your best self. It can be a Major, Minor, or Court Card!
What is it about this card that you like? Is there anything you don’t like about it?
For many of us, it’s the art of tarot and oracle decks that hold our interest and make us want to collect them all. If you’re one of them (I am), then it’s also nice to keep a running tally of your current collection and your wishlist!
